Tasked with designing packaging for a short film about a daydreamer, my solution was a large-scale typographic installation of sorts. I collected pieces of broken glass and hung them in a loose arrangement, mirroring the protagonist’s behaviour in the film. From most angles it looked like an enchanting art piece, but step into position and the glass spells the film’s name—echo. I set this up over some disco lights and took long exposure photos, resulting in some really beautiful imagery. From there, I shot footage for a title sequence, and designed and screen printed posters, DVD case and accompanying booklet.
