Since first hearing about Hofmann and Müller-Brockmann in first year of college, my goal became to master the art of typography. A few years on, I’m no master but still obsess over the tiny typographic details in every design I produce. This project involved transforming an essay I had written called Swiss Typography + the art of the letterform into a catalogue for a hypothetical exhibition on the topic, and really helped hone my typographic sensibilities, as it involved hours of drawing, cutting and arranging letters (much to my delight), plus a small forest worth of prints and drawings.
